DMCA Policy

1. About EhViewer & Content Hosting
EhViewer is a free, open-source client application for Android. It does not host, store, cache, serve, or distribute any manga, comic, image, or other copyrighted content. All content that a user accesses through EhViewer is retrieved directly from third-party gallery platforms that the user configures within the app. EhViewer has no control over, and no affiliation with, those third-party sources.
If you believe your copyrighted work is being made available without authorisation, the appropriate action is to contact the operator of the platform that is actually hosting the content, not EhViewer. See Section 6 for guidance.
2. DMCA & Our Response
EhViewer respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). Although EhViewer does not host user content, we take copyright concerns seriously and will review any notice submitted to us.
If you believe that material accessible through our website (ehviewer.io) — such as screenshots, documentation, or other site content — infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to us as described below.
3. Filing a DMCA Notice
To be valid under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your written notice must include all of the following elements:
- Identification of the work. A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or — if multiple works are covered — a representative list.
- Identification of the material. The specific URL(s) on ehviewer.io where the allegedly infringing material appears, in enough detail for us to locate it.
- Your contact information. Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- Good-faith statement. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy statement. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
- Signature. Your physical or electronic signature.
4. Designated DMCA Agent
Send completed DMCA notices to our designated agent:
We will acknowledge receipt of valid notices and respond promptly. Incomplete notices may be disregarded.
5. Counter-Notification
If you believe that material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to our designated agent. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3), a valid counter-notification must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and its location before it was removed.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your full name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for your district (or, if outside the US, any judicial district where EhViewer may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the claimant.
6. Repeat Infringers
In appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, we may disable access to ehviewer.io for users who are determined to be repeat infringers.
7. Content Hosted by Third Parties
Because EhViewer does not store or serve content, DMCA notices concerning manga or other media accessible through the app should be directed to the platform that hosts the content — not to EhViewer.
If you are unsure which platform hosts a particular gallery, you can identify it from the URL displayed in the EhViewer app or from the gallery's source indicator. Each platform publishes its own DMCA or copyright contact information.
8. Questions
For general questions about this policy, use our contact page or email support@ehviewer.io.
